Dilution

Prior to administration the reconstituted vial(s) of Xydalba must be further diluted into a bag containing 5% glucose solution for infusion.

Using appropriate aspetic techniques, add the required volume of reconstituted Xydalba to the bag containing 5% glucose solution for infusion.

If a common intravenous line is being used to administer other drugs in addition to Xydalba, the line should be flushed before and after each Xydalba infusion with 5% glucose solution for infusion.

Storage of Reconstituted or Diluted Xydalba¹

Does not require refrigeration. Do not freeze.

From a microbiological point of view, once reconstituted or diluted the product should be used immediately. If not used immediately, in-use storage times and conditions prior to use are the responsibility of the user and would normally not be longer than 24 hours at 2 to 8 °C, unless reconstitution/dilution has taken place in controlled and validated aseptic conditions.

† Xydalba must not be mixed with other medicinal products or intravenous solutions.
